C Dorian – Guitar diagrams and backing tracks

After our slow start with the C Ionian backing track, today for day 2 let’s go with a more engaging groove in the key of C Dorian.

Day after day I’m gonna publish backing tracks in dozens of different scales and keys, so stick around, I’m talking of hundreds free original backing tracks here 🙂

What would you like to find here on Guitar Scientist in the next days? Suggestions and requests are welcome.

Like always, this backing track is provided with full arrangement and with drum and bass, for when you prefer more room for outside playing or simply a less intrusive arrangement.

What can you play on these tracks?

This track is written in C Dorian, second mode of Bb major. Musicians have played all sort of things on the dorian scale, and every one has his preferences and sbstitutions of choice.

Anyway in case of need, here are some solid basis to begin with: In the following images there are all the triads and quadriads you can play with the notes of C Dorian. In light gray you’ll see the complete scale.
